Renaissance Family Services is a licensed foster/adoptive/kinship agency contracted with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and other SSCCs to place children under the custody of Child Protective Services (CPS) into verified homes. RFS has been serving families in the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas for over 10 years, and in the Temple/Waco/Round Rock Areas for over 5 years. RFS is only licensed to service children/youth in the state of Texas, unless otherwise contracted with that State’s Department.

Case Manager
Part Time- Entry Level Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager to join our team. As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support and guidance to foster families. Your role will involve assessing needs, developing service plans, coordinating services, and advocating for foster children. If you have a passion for helping others and possess strong organizational and communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, including physical, emotional, and social factors

Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with clients and their support systems

Coordinate and monitor the delivery of services to ensure clients' needs are met effectively

Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or challenging situations

Collaborate with community resources to connect clients with appropriate services such as housing assistance, therapeutic programs, childcare options, behavioral health services, etc.

Supervise and monitor client progress towards goals outlined in their service plans

Provide mentoring and support to clients through regular check-ins and motivational interviewing techniques

Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary resources

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Previous experience in case management or related field preferred

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Proficient in using computer systems for documentation purposes

Verification Specialist
Part Time- Entry Level Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Verification Specialist to join our team at RFS, a child placing/adoption agency. The Verification Specialist duties include conducting extensive home studies on incoming foster/adoptive/kinship families, and being responsible for the screening, development, assessment and verification of potential foster/adoptive families. The role will involve ensuring all RFS policies and procedures are followed in the opening of a foster/adoptive/kinship home and that the foster/adoptive/kinship home record is in 100% compliance with all applicable standards, policies, and contractual obligations.
Duties:

Conduct extensive home studies on prospective families coming through the licensing process.

Schedule and attend home visits during which the home and family are thoroughly assessed.

Review and assess applications and documents to ensure completeness and accuracy according to RFS policies and Minimum Standards.

Verify the authenticity of information provided by prospective families by contacting relevant sources directly.

Assist potential foster/adoptive/kinship families in obtaining all the needed documents, items, and changes to their home to ensure their home is a safe environment for children.

Coordinate Pre-Service classes for potential foster/adoptive/kinship families according to RFS guidelines and protocols.

Build rapport and trust with potential families from various backgrounds.

Assist RFS Child Placement Management staff in the proper matching of referred children/youth to the RFS foster/adoptive/adoptive home.

Ensure that additional needed documentation for kinship families is accounted for.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress
Qualifications:

Can pass criminal background checks, central registry checks, OIG and sex offender checks and a drug test
